Description	:	Jane Fish Yowaiski, 91, of Leonardtown died Sept. 25, 2011, at Chesapeake Shores Nursing Center, Lexington Park. Born Sept. 22, 1920, in Park Hall, she was the daughter of the late William Edward Fish and Effie Miles Fish. She grew up in Cedar Point. She was a member of Our Lady of the Wayside Catholic Church in Chaptico, where she served for many years as head of the altar society. Read More	Jane Fish Yowaiski, 91, of Leonardtown died Sept. 25, 2011, at Chesapeake Shores Nursing Center, Lexington Park. Born Sept. 22, 1920, in Park Hall, she was the daughter of the late William Edward Fish and Effie Miles Fish. She grew up in Cedar Point. She was a member of Our Lady of the Wayside Catholic Church in Chaptico, where she served for many years as head of the altar society. She operated a beauty shop for 50 years, first in Leonardtown, then at her home in Maddox and finally in Bushwood. She was an active member of the Democratic Club of Southern Maryland, twice serving as its president. In 2004, she was named St. Mary's County Democrat of the Year. Always eager to enjoy parades, historic events and public celebrations, she attended an inaugural parade for every president from Franklin Roosevelt to Barack Obama. She is survived by her children, Margaret Anne Evrard of Tell City, Ind., Wallace C. Yowaiski Jr. of Hanover, Pa., and William F. Yowaiski of Washington, D.C.; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and her siblings, Mary Catherine Birch of Lancaster, Pa., and Margaret Anne Spain of Potomac. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Wallace C. Yowaiski; and brother, William E. Fish Jr. Visitation was Sept. 29 at Brinsfield Funeral Home, Leonardtown. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Sept. 30 at Our Lady of the Wayside Church. The Rev. Jerry Gamrot will be the celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Queen of Peace Cemetery, Helen.
