Description	:	Obituary Mrs. E. DeVries died at the home of her son, three miles north and one mile east of Armour Sunday evening. She was taken seriously ill last Thursday night with an attack of heart trouble. Death came suddenly Sunday evening about 8 o'clock. Jane Muilenburg was born in the Netherlands, September [sic] 29, 1855, she died May 1st, 1932. When 13 years of age she came to America with her parents and settled near Pella, Iowa. Death came suddenly Sunday evening about 8 o'clock. Jane Muilenburg was born in the Netherlands, September [sic] 29, 1855, she died May 1st, 1932. When 13 years of age she came to America with her parents and settled near Pella, Iowa. In 1874 she was united in marriage to Evert DeVries. On 1886 the moved to South Dakota settling in Douglas county where she has resided ever since. To this union 12 children were born, all of whom are living, except Mrs. Fred Ligtenberg, who preceeded her in death about a year and a half ago. Her husband died just 10 years ago. The children living are: Mrs. Harry Scholten, Mrs. Simon Menning, Mrs. John Vander Werff, Mrs. Henry Ruesink, Mrs. Jacob Vander Werff, Mrs. John Bobeldyk, Gerrit, Guy, Herman, Arie and John. There are 61 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren. She was a faithful member of the Grand View church. Her life and sick-bed confession gives full assurance that she has gone to eternal rest with her Savior. Funeral services were conducted at the Grand View church by Rev. Rinehart and burial in the Grand View cemetery. A voice from our household is gone, O voice forever stilled, A vacant place is in our home, That never can be filled.
