Description	:	Jane Mintz Sanders, 93, of Gaffney, was peacefully called to heaven on March 3, 2015. She had lived a full and active life of faith that will leave a lasting legacy for generations to come. Born October 30, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Virgie (Wilson) Mintz and Robert Adam Mintz. She was married to the late James Robert Sanders, Sr. of Gaffney and preceded in death by her only son, James Robert Sanders, Jr. Jane graduated from Limestone College with a Bachelor of Arts in 1943. Born October 30, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Virgie (Wilson) Mintz and Robert Adam Mintz. She was married to the late James Robert Sanders, Sr. of Gaffney and preceded in death by her only son, James Robert Sanders, Jr. Jane graduated from Limestone College with a Bachelor of Arts in 1943. She was a beloved teacher for over 30 years at Blacksburg Elementary School and an active member of First Baptist Church of Gaffney where she served as President of her Sunday School class. She is survived by her two sisters, Betty Sophia Mintz of Gaffney, Joann Mintz Cavanaugh of Charlotte, NC; daughter-in-law Claudia Wray Sanders of Gaffney; three granddaughters Emily Sanders Miller and her husband Kevin of Rock Hill, Cara Sanders Robb and her husband David of Clemson and Ellen Elise Sanders of Gaffney; and four great-grandchildren, Sanders Blaine Miller, Mason DeCamp Miller, Sanders Gaines Robb and Crawford Bates Robb. Her life was enriched by numerous extended family members and close friends, all of whom she loved dearly. The family received friends 12:30 to 1:45 PM on Saturday, March 7, 2015 at First Baptist Church of Gaffney. Funeral services followed at 2:00 PM at the church with Rev. Joel Sellers, Dr. M. B. Morrow, Jr. and Rev. Roy Mathis officiating. Committal was private. In lieu of flowers, memorials could be made to First Baptist Church of Gaffney, 200 N. Limestone Street, Gaffney, SC 29340; The Cherokee County Children's Home, P.O. Box 1896, Gaffney, SC 29342; or the Mintz-Sanders Scholarship at Limestone College, 1115 College Drive, Gaffney, SC 29340. Psalm 28: 6-7 Praise be to the LORD, for he has heard my cry for mercy. The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and he helps me. My heart leaps for joy, and with my song I praise him.
