Jane"Jennie" Nairn Clark McLaughlin March 08,1876-Aug 22,1928 Jennie Nairn Clark was born in Lockport, New York, March 8, 1876 and died in Alliance, Nebraska, Aug 22, 1928, at the age of 52 years, 5 months and 18 days. During her childhood her folks moved westward, and settled in North Platte, Nebraska. At the age of sixteen years, she came to Alliance with her folks, later moving to Missouri. Where here, she was married to W. H. McLaughlin on April 4, 1895. To this union were born five children, namely, Emmet, Elles, Neva, Lynn and Vera. All these, together with her husband are left to mourn her death. Five grandchildren, a mother, brother and two sisters, besides many other relatives and friends are left to mourn her death. Mr. and Mrs. McLaughlin came to Box Butte county this last spring and settled on the Worley ranch, where they were living at the time of her death. Preceding her in death were her father and four brothers, William, Robert, George and David and her two sisters, Mary and Blanche. She was united with the Methodist church at Burwell, Nebraska, two years ago, but was always active in church work before and could always be found reading her Bible which she had well marked with her favorite passages of Scripture, and which was well work with reading.
