Description	:	Jane Willett, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Willett, was born December II, 1867, at Dudley, Pa., and passed away after six months illness on August 9, 1940, at her home in the Evergreen neighborhood near Lamoni. When but a small girl her parents moved from Pennsylvania to Kewanee, Ill, and later to Lucas, Iowa, where she grew to womanhood and on January 27, 1887, was married to William T. Shakespeare. Read More	Jane Willett, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Willett, was born December II, 1867, at Dudley, Pa., and passed away after six months illness on August 9, 1940, at her home in the Evergreen neighborhood near Lamoni. When but a small girl her parents moved from Pennsylvania to Kewanee, Ill, and later to Lucas, Iowa, where she grew to womanhood and on January 27, 1887, was married to William T. Shakespeare. For about two years they made their home on a farm near Oakley, Iowa. In the spring of 1889, they moved to Lorrimor, Union county, Iowa, and in the winter of 1890 came to Lamoni where for the most past since they have made their home. To them were born eight children, four sons and four daughters, one son and two daughters having preceded their mother in death. The remaining to mourn her departure are Joseph Shakespeare, Mrs. Glen Barth, and Alma Shakespeare, all of near Lamoni, and Mrs. Millard Pace and James Shakespeare of Independence, Mo. There are eight grandchildren. These with her companion sustain the loss of a loving and devoted companion and mother. She has two sisters, Mrs. Samuel Shakespeare, of Independence, Mo., Mrs. Sarah Mooney of Milwaukee, Wis., and two brothers, Edward Willett of Knoxville, Iowa; and John Willett, in Connecticut who also survive. She became a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on April 9, 1893, being baptized by Elder Henry A. Stebbins, remaining steadfast to her faith and faithful to her covenant. She will be missed in her home and by the many friends who knew her. Services were held Sunday from the White Funeral Home with Rev. T. S. Williams, as speaker.
