Description	:	Janet Thomas, 89, a resident of Burlington, passed away Saturday, March 20, 2010 at Where The Heart Is, Burlington. She was born February 25, 1921 in Burlington. She was a daughter of Soren and Agnes (Beveridge) Anderson. Janet graduated as class valedictorian from Burlington High School in 1939. She attended secretarial Business College. She was a life member of the Order of... Read More	Janet Thomas, 89, a resident of Burlington, passed away Saturday, March 20, 2010 at Where The Heart Is, Burlington. She was born February 25, 1921 in Burlington. She was a daughter of Soren and Agnes (Beveridge) Anderson. Janet graduated as class valedictorian from Burlington High School in 1939. She attended secretarial Business College. Janet was united in marriage to Edwin Thomas, of Bow, on April 22, 1939. Some of her employment included working for Preservative Paints, Bank of America and retiring from Boeing after 25 years. She was a life member of the Order of Eastern Star, a life member Alpha Iota Secretary Soriety, past president of Ballard Emblem Club, and a member of Burlington Lutheran Church. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Warren "Bill" and Nancy Thomas, of San Diego; two grandsons, Richard and David Thomas; and nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edwin; daughter, Anne Thomas; and two sisters; Hilda Landry and Alice Neff. Viewing will be held Wednesday, March 24, 2010 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Hulbush Funeral Home, Burlington Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 25, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Burlington Lutheran Church. A reception will follow and then interment will take place in Bow Cemetery. Remembrances are suggested to Skagit County Alzheimer's Disease Support Group, 1100 South 2nd, Mount Vernon, WA 98273.
