The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM Thursday, September 30, 2021 at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home and other times at the home of Mrs. Ruth Mills, 312 Sanders Rd., Pageland, SC. Due to COVID-19 regulations, our staff is committed to taking care of our guests and families that we serve. We also ask all guests and family members attending visitations and services to please continue social distancing and face coverings are strongly encouraged. Mrs. Deason was born September 12, 1965 in Monroe, NC a daughter of the late Frank and Ann Helms. She was a graduate of Forest Hills High School, Class of 1984, and a faithful member of Lighthouse Baptist Church where she was a former Sunday school teacher. A talented cook and baker, Janet was known for her delicious cakes and wide range of recipes. She enjoyed collecting water globes, frogs, turtles, and anything that contained her favorite color, green. She is survived by her loving husband of nearly 28 years, Stuart Monty Deason of the home; sisters, Julie (Aaron) Baker of Marshville, NC, Bonnie (Larry) Medlin of Mt. Gilead, NC, and Linda Faye Helms of Monroe, NC; 2 nieces, Erica (Stone) Hamilton, and Ashley Baker both of Marshville, NC; brother-in-law, Jeffrey (Sarah) Deason of Rock Hill, SC. Memorials may be made to Lighthouse Baptist Church, P.O. Box 247, Pageland, SC 29728. Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home (www.mrcfuneralhome.com) of Chesterfield, SC is serving the Deason family.
