At the age of eight she moved to Sioux City, IA and to Sioux Falls in 1933 where she graduated from Washington High School in 1935. She married Thomas R. Iverson on November 8, 1941 in Sioux Falls. At the age of eight she moved to Sioux City, IA and to Sioux Falls in 1933 where she graduated from Washington High School in 1935. She married Thomas R. Iverson on November 8, 1941 in Sioux Falls. He preceded her in death on September 18, 1993. Janet worked with disabled children at the Hope School in Sioux Falls for many years. She worked on farm with her husband, was a 4-H leader, was a former member of East Side Lutheran Church, and was a longtime member of the Split Rock Fire Department Bells. Survivors include her children, Thomas R. (Ann) Iverson, Jr., Red Oak, IA, Jerald (Janet) Iverson, Fargo, ND, Judy (Ron) Running, Valley Springs, SD, and Donna (Jim) Hill, Watertown, SD; 15 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; two brothers, Jarl Brokaw and James Brokaw, both of Sioux Falls; three sisters, June (Merrill) Ring, California, Joyce Blood, Harrisonville, MO, Joan Kugler, Denver, CO; and a host of other relatives and friends. Janet was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and one brother, John Brokaw.
