Description	:	Janet Schlotte, 80, of Webster passed away Tuesday December 15, 2020 at Sanford Hospital in Webster. A private funeral service will be held 10:30 A.M. Saturday December 19, 2020 and will be livestreamed on Fiksdal Funeral Service Facebook page. Burial will be in the Webster Cemetery. Janet Elaine Buckholtz was born on March 26, 1940 to William and Esther (Kilpatrick) Buckholtz at Clear Lake, South Dakota. She attended school in Clear Lake and graduated in 1958. On July 25, 1959 she was united in marriage to Myron Schlotte. The couple made their home near Webster and farmed until their retirement in 1996. Janet then worked as a certified nurses assistant at Bethesda Home in Webster until 2006. Janet was a member of American Lutheran Church in Webster where she served as chairperson of many circle groups over the years. She also taught Sunday school and bible school. She enjoyed cooking for her family, sewing, completing word puzzles, playing cards, watching television and above all else, she cherished time spent with her kids, grandkids, and great grandkids. She will be forever loved and greatly missed by her husband of 61 years Myron Schlotte of Webster, SD, two sons: Dari (Jodi) Schlotte of Webster, SD and Lonnie (Lisa) Schlotte of Watertown, SD, five grandchildren: Lacey (Jared) Moser, Carrie (Ross) Kwasniewski, Corey, Caitlyn, and Jared Schlotte, and three great-grandchildren: Reagan Kwasniewski, Jaxon, and Ryan Moser. She is also survived by her sister Beverly (Merlyn) Strom, three brothers: Harley Buckholtz, Dale (Jean) Buckholtz, and Wayne (Diane) Buckholtz, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, one son & daughter-in-law Marty and Beth Schlotte and two sisters: Shirley Koutz and Lorraine Behlings-Allstot. - Fiksdal Funeral Home -------------------------------------------------------------------- Sister Elaine's obituary: Shirley M. Koutz, age 75, of Watertown, South Dakota, passed away Friday, November 27, 2009 at Jenkins Living Center in Watertown. Memorial services were held on Wednesday, December 2, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at the Wight, Comes & Sogn Funeral Chapel in Watertown with Pastor Steve Lauricella officiating. Special music was provided by Ken Kirk. Honorary urnbearers were Dari Schlotte, Marty Schlotte, Lonnie Schlotte, Mallory Koutz, Rita Raiter and Ken Kirk. Shirley Maxine Koutz, the daughter of William Julius and Esther Sarah Ann (Kilpatrick) Buckholtz, was born on October 10, 1934 in Clear Lake, South Dakota. She grew up in the Clear Lake and Watertown areas where she attended school. She married Arlen Clarence Koutz on June 20, 1964 at the Grace Lutheran Church in Watertown. The couple then moved to St. Paul, Minnesota until 1981 when they returned to Watertown. Shirley was a baby-sitter, dishwasher, housekeeper and nursing home assistant. She also was employed at the Dollar Discount as a store clerk and previously worked at Senor Max's and K-Mart. She enjoyed spending time with her family, meeting new people, going out to eat and listening to country music. She also enjoyed watching the Minnesota Twins, high school basketball, and taking walks. She was preceded in death by her parents. Shirley is survived by her, husband, Arlen; her two sons, Steven Koutz and his wife, Jennifer of Watertown and Doug Koutz of Watertown; one grandchild, Mallory Koutz (Steve's daughter); her siblings, Lorraine Marlys Alstott of Brookings, SD, Harley William Buckholtz of Watertown, SD, Janet Elaine Schlotte and her husband, Myron of Webster, Beverly Ann Strom and her husband, Meryl of Texas, Dale James Buckholtz and his wife, Jean of Maryland and Wayne Allen Buckholtz and his wife, Dianne of Alaska; as well as several nieces and nephews.
