She was predeceased by her son Jamie Clifton, father Reg Kesler, brother Mark Kesler, two unborn great grandchildren, father-in-law G.R. Clifton, sister-in-law Kathy Wolfer and by her first husband John “Dean” Brauer. Janet was born in Brooks on September 28, 1947 to Reg and Beth Kesler. She was a very active child growing up. Janet could be found helping her mom with household duties or outside assisting her dad with rodeo events. She was always the strong organized one, ensuring everything was done in a timely manner. Janet always said “you’d better be a half hour early and don’t be late”! A trait some have followed fatefully. Janet was world travelled. She often commented on how lucky she was as not many had the opportunity to travel to the destinations she had. Janet had many struggles in her life including the loss of her first husband in 1977 which left her a widow with three young children. Fortunately for Janet, she met the love of her life Dale and they were married in 1979 and they were later blessed with their son Jamie in 1980. Janet was active in sports, cattle and family. Her cooking was always the best. Dale, her children and grandchildren were the most important treasures in her life. They meant everything to her. She will be dearly missed. Janet’s last weeks were a struggle to say the least but through the love and support of her husband Dale and the rest of her family and friends, she fought until the bitter end. She faced her illness head on and never faultered in her journey of teaching our family how to be strong and how to love no matter what.
