Description	:	Janet was born to Max and Delora Chase Kimble. She attended grade school and high school in Pomeroy, graduating from Pomeroy High. Two days later, on June 3, she married Everett Scoggin of Pomeroy. They farmed south of Pomeroy. From 1965 to 1968, they lived on the Game Farm at Ellensburg., Wash. While there, Janet worked at the Ellensburg Phone Company as a long-distance operator. In 1968 Janet drove school bus on the mountain, and in 1976 they moved to Pataha, and she drove bus in the Ping Gulch and Gould City area. She drove bus for 22 years and loved every... Read More	Janet was born to Max and Delora Chase Kimble. She attended grade school and high school in Pomeroy, graduating from Pomeroy High. Two days later, on June 3, she married Everett Scoggin of Pomeroy. They farmed south of Pomeroy. From 1965 to 1968, they lived on the Game Farm at Ellensburg., Wash. While there, Janet worked at the Ellensburg Phone Company as a long-distance operator. In 1968 Janet drove school bus on the mountain, and in 1976 they moved to Pataha, and she drove bus in the Ping Gulch and Gould City area. She drove bus for 22 years and loved every minute. She would dress up for different holidays, and one Halloween was special - she had an UGLY mask with red eyes that lit up, but she wore it backwards so as not to interfere with her driving. A couple of the smaller boys stared at it all the way to town! Other jobs Jane had included: working at the Pea Cannery, Browns Drug Store, at Walt Duncan's Tax Accounting, and driving wheat trucks for several farmers. One bad wheat year she wrote a poem, "Harvest to Harvest," while waiting for a full load. Janet was a member of the First Christian Church, but attended church at the Pataha Flour Mill. She was a member of the Evergreen Home Ec Club and the Rebekah Lodge. Janet loved animals and was a 4-H member showing steers. Later in Pataha she had pet cows, some of which she bottle fed. One heifer named Snickle Britches would run in the yard when Janet was weeding flower beds, and then Snickle Britches would lay down in the freshly weeded flower bed. Lewiston Tribune June 21, 2012
