Description	:	Janice Ann Madden, 65, of Marshalltown, Iowa and formerly of Van Buren County, Iowa passed away on May 28, 2018 at the Iowa Veterans Home in Marshalltown. She was born on May 18, 1953 to Francis and Millie Clemen Moroney. She graduated from East Buchanan High School in 1971. She then went on the Cedar Rapids Cosmetology School and graduated in 1972. Janice married the love of her life, John Madden in Farmington, Iowa in 1980. Janice was a beautician. She loved to travel and watch television, especially figure skating. Read More	Janice Ann Madden, 65, of Marshalltown, Iowa and formerly of Van Buren County, Iowa passed away on May 28, 2018 at the Iowa Veterans Home in Marshalltown. She was born on May 18, 1953 to Francis and Millie Clemen Moroney. She graduated from East Buchanan High School in 1971. She then went on the Cedar Rapids Cosmetology School and graduated in 1972. Janice married the love of her life, John Madden in Farmington, Iowa in 1980. Janice was a beautician. She loved to travel and watch television, especially figure skating. She always loved watching Peggy Fleming in the 1968 Olympics. Janice was also known for her love of cats, Toby and Daffodil will always be her favorites. She is survived by her husband, John; two sisters, Diane (Moroney) Stephens of Lehigh Acres, Florida, Pat (Moroney) Chesmore of Verona, Wisconsin; a brother-in-law, Dan Madden (Kathy) of Tampa, Florida; three nieces Ashley (Chesmore) Boat of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Sara Madden of Arlington, Virginia, Susan (Jay) Langford of Tampa, Florida; and a nephew, Brent Chesmore of Denver, Colorado. She was preceded in death by her parents, Francis and Millie Moroney; a brother, William Moroney; a sister, Joanie Moroney; and her parents-in-law, Max and Evelyn Madden. A private memorial service will be held at the Iowa Veterans Home in Marshalltown, Iowa. A graveside service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 31, 2018 at Harness Cemetery in Mt. Sterling, Iowa. In lieu of flowers, a memorial in Janice’s name may be made to Iowa Veteran’s Home in Marshalltown, Iowa. A special “thank you” to the staff on Malloy South at Iowa Veterans Home. Janice always stated that she loved the staff and they too became like family to her. Thank you for your loving care.
