Description	:	Janice K. "Jan" Olson, of Emerson, Nebraska, died on Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at home surrounded by her family. Jan was born October 21, 1952 in Sac City, Iowa the daughter of Eldon and Arline (Beach) Horton. After graduating from High School, Jan attended Stewarts Beauty School in Sioux City, Iowa. On July 20, 1974 she married Andrew Olson in Odebolt, Iowa. To this union four children were born: Ryan, Tricia, Laura and Clint. "Jan" Olson, of Emerson, Nebraska, died on Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at home surrounded by her family. Jan was born October 21, 1952 in Sac City, Iowa the daughter of Eldon and Arline (Beach) Horton. After graduating from High School, Jan attended Stewarts Beauty School in Sioux City, Iowa. On July 20, 1974 she married Andrew Olson in Odebolt, Iowa. To this union four children were born: Ryan, Tricia, Laura and Clint. She was a member of the Altar Society, Three Counties That Glisten, and the American Legion Auxiliary. Jan also enjoyed crafting, decorating, family, camping, and spending time with her grandchildren. Jan is survived by: husband Andrew "Andy' Olson; sons Ryan Olson of Seattle, Washington and Clint "Rocky" (Renee) Olson of Lawrence, Kansas; daughter Tricia (Chad) Luber of Emerson, Nebraska; grandchildren: Cade, Carter and Ava Luber and Corbin Olson; mother, Arline Horton of Odebolt, Iowa; sisters, Susan Horton of Sac City, Iowa, Nancy (Richard) Hitchcock of Tampa Bay, Florida and Mari (Al) Rico of Orlando, Florida; brother, Bill (Myra) Horton of Sac City, Iowa and a host of family and friends. Jan is preceded in death by daughter, Laura Lee Olson; father, Eldon Horton and sister, Beverly Horton. Memorial Services will be held Monday, August 5, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Emerson, NE; Father Gerald Leise will be officiating. The visitation will be held on Sunday from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. Munderloh-Smith Funeral Home of Emerson, NE is in charge of arrangements.
