She was born February 13, 1938 in West Point, Iowa, a daughter of Emery and Evelyn (Klesner) Moeller. On June 27, 1959 she married Donald Holtkamp at St. John’s Church, Houghton. He survives. Janice was a graduate of St. John’s School, Houghton. She was a homemaker and farm wife, but also worked at Sheaffer Pen for a while. She was a member of St. Mary’s Church, West Point and formerly of St. John’s Church, Houghton. She enjoyed quilting, playing cards, gardening, and snowmobiling. She especially loved spending time with her family. She is survived by her husband, Donald Holtkamp, of West Point, Iowa; two daughters, Christie (Daniel) Kempker, of West Point and Nancy (Mitch) Hunold, of Donnellson, Iowa; one brother, Adrian (MaryBeth) Moeller, of Hillsboro, Iowa; one sister, Laverne Merschman, of West Point; six grandchildren, six great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter Jackie, one granddaughter Savannah, and three infant sisters. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am Monday, August 29, 2016 at the St. John’s Catholic Church, Houghton, Iowa with Reverend Bruce DeRammelaere, as Celebrant. Burial will be at St. John’s Cemetery, Houghton, Iowa. A memorial has been established for Holy Trinity Catholic Schools.
