LeGrand, 67, of Holy Cross, died Thursday, June 12, 2008, at her home following a lengthy illness. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 16, at the Holy Cross Catholic Church, with the Rev. Raymond Burkle officiating and Deacon Jim Thill assisting. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. today at Kramer Funeral Home, Holy Cross, where there will be a parish scripture service at 5 p.m. Mrs. LeGrand cooked at the Holy Cross School system for 23 years. She was born on Nov. 7, 1940, in Holy Cross, daughter of Clarence and Emma (Ellerbach) Schultz. She married Robert LeGrand on Sept. 2, 1961, in Holy Cross, Iowa. She was a member of the Holy Cross Rosary Society and the Catholic Knights. She enjoyed raising her family, her grandchildren, quilting and playing cards with her sisters. Surviving are her husband, Robert; six sons, Mark (Kelly), of Dubuque, Bruce (Deb), of East Dubuque, Ill., Todd (Christine) and Paul, both of Guttenberg, Rick (Lona), of Colesburg, and Dan (Tammy), of Dyersville; a daughter, Kris (Stephen) Bender, of Dubuque; 18 grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; and three stepgreat-grandchildren; six sisters, LaVonne (Earl) Brimeyer and Carol Errthum, both of North Buena Vista, Donna (Robert) Schmidt, of Durango, Connie (Jim) Klein, of Dubuque, Sherry (Mick) Klein, of Holy Cross, and Cindy (Paul) Ludovissy, of North Buena Vista; and two brothers, David (Nancy), of Durango, and Ronald (Marilyn), of Holy Cross. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother-in-law, Nick Errthum; and a niece, Lori Errthum.
