Description	:	Janie Davis Malone, 95, widow of Harley Malone of 1817 Jonesville Highway, Union, formerly of Buffalo, died Monday, March 4, 2002, at 5:30 a.m. in Ellen Sagar Nursing Home after an extended illness. Mrs. Malone was born in Lee County, Va., on Jan. 25, 1907, a daughter of the late Andrew Jackson Davis and Nellie Fannon Davis. She attended Buffalo United Methodist Church and was retired from United Merchants, Buffalo Plant. Mrs. Malone was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She attended Buffalo United Methodist Church and was retired from United Merchants, Buffalo Plant. Mrs. Malone was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Survivors include a son, Paul Malone, of Buffalo; five grandchildren: Paula Malone of Camden, Scott Malone of Ridgeway, Chuck Malone of Union, David Malone and Steve Malone, both of Memphis, Tenn.; six great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; and a niece Vernell Pruitt of Buffalo. Mrs. Malone was predeceased by a son, Jack Malone. Graveside services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at Forest Lawn Cemetery conducted by Dr. Phillip Chandler. The body will remain at the funeral home where the family will receive friends Wednesday from 1:30-3 p.m. The family is at the home of his grandson, Chuck Malone, 405 Bermuda Road, Union. Memorials may be made to Buffalo United Methodist Church, Buffalo, 29321; or to Union County Meals on Wheels, Care of Monte Lancaster, Arthur State Bank, Union, 29379. The S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.
