Description	:	Mrs. H. Baron, resident of the Home For the Aged for a number of years, passed away last Thurs day morning at 1:00 o'clock. Mrs. Baron was a woman of excellent character and possessed many qualities of mind and heart which endeared her to a large circle of friends. She had an attractive personality, was an interesting conversationalist, and took a deep and abiding interest in people and the events of the day. Many regret to hear of her departure. She had an attractive personality, was an interesting conversationalist, and took a deep and abiding interest in people and the events of the day. Many regret to hear of her departure. Jane Overbergen was born in the Netherlands December 6 1859 and died on March 18, 1937, at the age of 77 years, 3 months and 12 days, after an illness of several months. In 1868 she came to America with her parents, three brothers and two sisters. She was married to Hannes Baron March 13, 1878, who preceded her in death August 19, 1908. None of her immediate family survive her, but she leaves a large number of relatives and a host of friends who mourn her departure. For the past 12 years she has lived at the Home For the Aged and with exception of a few years residence in Kansas, has spent all her life in Pella and vicinity. Mrs. Baron, familiarly called "Aunt Jane" by everyone, was well known and highly respected by the entire community. At an early age she made confession of faith in the Christian Reformed Church and throughout her life has been a faithful member. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the Second Christian Reformed church with Rev. Monsma in charge. Six nephews acted as Pall bearers. Internment was in Black Oak cemetery.
