Description	:	Jason E. Keese, aged 70 years, an old settler of Marshall County, and a very well-known farmer of Marion Township, died at his home one-half mile south of Green Mountain, Sunday evening at 6:30 o’clock of cancer of the bladder. Mr. Keese had been sick for almost a year, and in March underwent an operation, and for a time seemed to improve. Thursday he was taken suddenly worse. Mr. Keese was born in Ohio, and when a child moved with his parents to Indiana. April 15, 1861, he married in Jay County, Indiana, Miss Lavina Odell who survives him. Read More	Jason E. In 1869 Mr. and Mrs. Keese and family moved to Iowa and settled near Gilman, where they lived until sixteen years ago, when they moved to the present home. Besides the wife the following children survive their father: V.A. Keese and Mrs. Ellen Green, of Gilman; John Keese, of Green Mountain; Mrs. Hannah Mann, of Laurel; Mrs. Theresa Bill, of Sheffield, Ill., and Ida, Myrtle, and Alfred Keese who live at home. The funeral will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock from the Congregational Church in Green Mountain. The body will be taken from the home at 1:30 o’clock.
