Description	:	Jay Eric Lindahl, age 52 of Boone, Iowa, passed away September 29th, 2019. Jay graduated from Boone High School in 1986 and later went on to get a degree from Iowa State University in hospitality and hotel management in 1990. His mother always thought he should be a lawyer, but he figured this degree would allow him to stock up on easy classes and party through college (as every college kid should). Read More	Jay Eric Lindahl, age 52 of Boone, Iowa, passed away September 29th, 2019. Jay graduated from Boone High School in 1986 and later went on to get a degree from Iowa State University in hospitality and hotel management in 1990. His mother always thought he should be a lawyer, but he figured this degree would allow him to stock up on easy classes and party through college (as every college kid should). He became an insurance agent in 1993 and had been doing it ever since. He served proudly on the Ogden Fire Department from 1994 until 2008. In addition to these two jobs, he of course picked up some hobbies to keep him busy. He was the owner of The Sound Shoppe, a DJ and entertainment company, owned a bar, had rental and storage properties, had a party bus, and much more. Jay was happiest when he was entertaining others. Jay had a less-than-average life span, and definitely did not live an average life. He did what he wanted when he wanted, laughed inappropriately at every chance, learned what he wanted to learn, fixed what he wanted to fix, and loved who he wanted to love. He is preceded in death by his parents Joyce (Thede) and Jim Lindahl. Jay is survived by his two children Connor Lindahl and Kayden Lindahl (Cameron), his brother, Joel “Swiss Roll” Lindahl (Marci, Morgan, Emily, and Tyler) his best buddy Jasper, his girlfriend Angela McCoy, and countless family members. A visitation will be held Friday, October 11th, from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM at the Augustana Lutheran Church. Funeral Services will be Saturday, October 12th, at 10:30 a.m. at Augustana Lutheran Church. The family will be having a celebration of his life following the service. Graveside services will follow the funeral and be held at Rose Hill Cemetery west of Boone.
