Description	:	Jay "Neil" Gould, 92, of Liscomb IA, passed away Saturday, November, 23, 2013 at the Iowa River Hospice House in Marshalltown, IA. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at the Liscomb Church of Christ in Liscomb. A luncheon will precede the funeral services at noon at the church. Neil was born February 23, 1921 in Liscomb to Jay and Sabina Gould. He was educated in the Liscomb schools graduating from Liscomb High School in 1938. Neil was very proud of serving his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He was united in marriage to Ruth A. Guldager on June 15, 1947 in Ackley, IA. She died June 9, 2011. Neil carried on the family farming tradition in the rural Liscomb area. He was a lifelong member of the Liscomb Church of Christ, a 50 plus year member of IOOF Lodge #242 and a 60 plus year member of the Liscomb American Legion post #87. He was proud of his community and will be remembered for the numerous community service projects he completed. He was preceded in death by his wife and brother, Clair.
