Jean was born to the late Luther and Ethie (Kratzer) Krauss on March 19, 1925 in Napoleon, Ohio. She married the late Maurice Nye on December, 11 1942 at St. Marks United Methodist Church in Wauseon, Ohio. Jean was born to the late Luther and Ethie (Kratzer) Krauss on March 19, 1925 in Napoleon, Ohio. Jean is survived by her daughters: Karen (Dan) Guba of Bowling Green, Ohio; Linda Zehe of Chagrin Falls, Ohio; & Kay (Edward) Workley of Culleoka, Tennessee; son: Lee (Marcia)Nye of Naperville, Illinois; grandchildren: Lori Cramer, Michelle Keyes, Sharon Leckron, Hunter Brown, Brittany Workley & 6 great-grandchildren. Along with her parents and husband Jean was preceded in death by a brother: Serge Krauss and sister: Doris Bodach. Jean enjoyed all types of crafts, especially painting and sewing. She was also an avid reader. Jean was a member of St. Marks Methodist Church in Findlay and volunteered at Cancer Patient Services. Above everything else Jean loved her grandchildren and family. She will be dearly missed. A Celebration of Life Service for Jean will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at 11:00 AM at the DECK-HANNEMAN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, REMEMBRANCE CHAPEL, 1460 W Wooster Street, P.O. Box 648, Bowling Green, Ohio 43402, Tele: 419-352-2171. Interment will be private. Memorial contributions in Jean’s honor may be gifted to St. Mark’s Methodist Church or the Otterbein Activity Fund.
