Description	:	Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Tues., March 30, for Jean E. Michelke, 84, Madison, who died on March 27, 2009, at Bethel Lutheran Home. The Rev. Becky Senner will officiate in St. John Lutheran Church, rural Ramona, and burial will be in the church cemetery. Casketbearers will be Daniel Michelke, Steven Wolf, Jeremy Bloker, Bruce Byers, Austin Pearson and Joel Overskei. Organist will be Sharon Abraham, soloist will be Don Stewart, and Jean's HarmonicKatz will also be playing. Visitation is Monday with a prayer service at 7 p.m. Monday at the Ellsworth Funeral Home. Visitation continues one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday. Jean Bickett was born on April 20, 1924, in rural Oldham to Frank and Marie (Rosenberry) Bickett. She attended Kline Country School and graduated from Oldham High School in 1942. She attended General Beadle State College for one year and taught rural school in Lake County. She married Albert Michelke on Dec. 28, 1945, near Ramona. They farmed near Ramona their entire married life. He died in 1983 and then she worked at the Oldham Cafe before moving into Madison in 1989. She worked for Green Thumb of Madison and was the leader of Jean's HarmonicKatz. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church and Women of the ELCA, and she served as secretary and sexton of Oldham City Cemetery. She also was active in Church Women United. Survivors include a son, Tom (Deb) Michelke of Madison; two daughters, Nancy (Eugene) Bloker of Wentworth, and Sally (Larry) Wolf of Ramona; two sisters, Delores (Lyman) Overskei of Nunda, and Frances Walker of Watertown; six grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and an infant sister, Betty Belle Bickett. Pblished in Madsion Daily Leader Online in March 2009
