Bickett, 75, Madison, who died Wednesday morning at a Madison hospital. Mr. Bickett was born December 20, 1898 at Griswold, Iowa. He married Marie Rosenberry August 1, 1922, at Madison. They farmed in the Oldham area before moving to Madison in 1962. (Hallenbeck) Argus-Leader, Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Thursday, March 20, 1975, page 2 Frank Raymond Bickett, son of Martin Cooper Bickett and Evaline Oglesbee, was born December 20, 1898 on a farm one mile east and one and 1/8 mile north of Griswold, Iowa. Frank moved with his parents to Minor County, South Daklota in 1905. There he attended Klein School. At the age of 21 Frank and his mother took a trip to Iowa to visit Eveline's parents. When it came time for them to leave for home, they boarded a train and traveled 25 miles. Frank then told his mother he was getting off the train at the next stop and going back to Iowa to stay and work in Iowa. His mother was very upset, but Frank's mind was made up. He worked in Iowa one year for Mr. Anderson. The next summer he returned home and farmed with his brother Charles. He married Marie Nettie Rosenberry on August 1, 1922 in Madison, Lake County, South Dakota. Four known children were born to them, Jean Evelyn, Betty Belle, Delores Mae, and Frances Marie. He died March 22, 1975 in Madison, Lake County, South Dakota and is buried in the Oldham Cemetery. Information found in a book in the Griswold Museum
