Description	:	Jean G. Farley Bucher age 91, of Lima and formerly of South Vienna, passed away Tuesday, April 20,2021 at her residence. She was born July 24, 1929 in Springfield, Ohio to the late Harry E. and Clara Edna (Hunter) Genheimer. She was preceded in death by spouses Wilbur "Bill" Farley and Winston "Tom" Bucher and special companion Jim Walther. Her sisters, Lois G. Sweet and Maxine G. Ridenour, also preceded her in death. She was born July 24, 1929 in Springfield, Ohio to the late Harry E. and Clara Edna (Hunter) Genheimer. She was preceded in death by spouses Wilbur "Bill" Farley and Winston "Tom" Bucher and special companion Jim Walther. Her sisters, Lois G. Sweet and Maxine G. Ridenour, also preceded her in death. Jean and her family moved to Lima in 1965. Jean was employed by Vistron Chemical/BP Chemical, beginning as a stenographer and retiring in 1986 as Fleet Manager and Office Supervisor. A member of Shawnee United Methodist Church, she was a faithful member of the Friendship Circle. As music was an integral part of her life, she joined the Friends of the Lima Symphony involving herself in the Young Musicians Competition and concerts. She also served with the Friends of the Library and on the YWCA Board. Through her adult life Jean was an avid bridge player, participating in many bridge groups. She served for many years as the Registrar of the Susan B. Russel Chapter of the DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution.) Jean fulfilled two goals in her life by visiting every State in the US and by going on Safari in Kenya when she was 78 years old. Survivors include children: Larry (Becky) Farley of Berkey, Ohio, Barbara F. Wilson and Andy (Karla) Farley both of Lima; grandchildren: George (Suzanne) Wilson, Nicholas Wilson, Gregg Farley, Kristin Farley, Brad Farley, and Megan Farley; great-grandchildren: Benjamin Wilson, Mary Jean Wilson, Cameron Farley, Ryan Pittman, Emery Farley, Harper Farley, and Beckham Farley. She is also survived by nieces; Candace S. Riley and Karen R. Price, and nephew, Charles Ridenour. A memorial service will be held at 12 p.m. at Shawnee United Methodist Church with Rev. Bryan Bucher officiating. Masks are required and social distancing will be observed. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to the Lima Symphony Orchestra Young Musicians Competition. Entombment will be at a later date in Shawnee Cemetery. The family extends special thanks to Becky Williams for her loving care of their mother and to Interim Healthcare and Hospice for their support.
