Description	:	Jean Buxton's life breath was taken on Saturday, May 16, 2009, at the age of 82 in Roseburg, Oregon. Jean was born June 4, 1926, to Charles Haugh and Rose (Campbell) Haugh; she was the youngest of four children. Jean grew up in Alma, Nebraska, attended and was baptized in the First Christian Church. Jean's widowed mother remarried Leroy Cramer in 1948, a local artist whose works can be seen at the Johnson Center in Alma and are owned by people throughout the United States and Canada. Jean was born June 4, 1926, to Charles Haugh and Rose (Campbell) Haugh; she was the youngest of four children. Jean grew up in Alma, Nebraska, attended and was baptized in the First Christian Church. Jean's widowed mother remarried Leroy Cramer in 1948, a local artist whose works can be seen at the Johnson Center in Alma and are owned by people throughout the United States and Canada. Jean worked as an executive and legal secretary most of her life. She lived and worked in Nebraska, Wyoming, California, and Oregon. Jean is preceded in death by her brother, Elmo Haugh, and sister, Velma Hubbell. She is survived by her sister, Gwen Hord, of Roseburg; son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Hilda Buxton, of San Francisco, California; daughter, Sandra Jensen of Roseburg; grandchildren, Ben and Clinton Housel and Sean Buxton; great-grandchildren, Nancy, Patricia, and Johnathan Housel. As well as a host of faithful friends who brightened her days with their visits, calls, letters and cards. Jean will be remembered by all who knew her for her laughter, high spirits and generosity. Private family services will be held at a later date with interment in the Campbell family plot in Alma, Nebraska under the direction of the Banta-Torrey Funeral Home.
