Description	:	Jeanette Ann Pankoke was born to Edward Noler and Hannah Stahr Noler on August 11, 1933, at Cordova, and passed away Jan. 6, 2003, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Lincoln, at the age of 69 years, five months. She was one of five children in the family. Jeanette was baptized in Saint John's at Cordova and confirmed in the Holy Cross Lutheran Church at Goehner. Read More	Jeanette Ann Pankoke was born to Edward Noler and Hannah Stahr Noler on August 11, 1933, at Cordova, and passed away Jan. 6, 2003, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Lincoln, at the age of 69 years, five months. She was one of five children in the family. Jeanette was baptized in Saint John's at Cordova and confirmed in the Holy Cross Lutheran Church at Goehner. She graduated from Beaver Crossing High School and attended Doane College the summer of 1950 and then taught at School District No. 80 for one year. Jeanette was married to Burdette (Butch) Pankoke of Beaver Crossing, on July 20, 1951, and to this union three sons were born--Randy, Jeffrey, and Jamey. They lived in Lincoln, York, and Beaver Crossing until 1961, when they moved to Fairmont, where Butch continued his masonry work with Boren Lumber Company of Fairmont and Hoffman Construction of Sutton. Jeanette worked in Fairmont at the Tower Cafe and the Stockman's Club as waitress, cook and dishwasher. She also substituted when needed as a cook at Fairmont Public School. In later years, Jeannete enjoyed selling House of Lloyd. For several years Jeanette cleaned her parents home because her parents were unable to care for themselves. Jeanette especially enjoyed the lunch at the local cafe that followed. Jeanette was blessed with the gift of gab. She was a regular at the local coffee shop, sharing the daily news with her many friends. Jeanette was always ready to share favorite recipes and to try new dishes. Her family and friends were happy recipients of her cooking talents. She had an extensive collection of cookbooks and spent many hours in the kitchen baking and sampling what she made. Shopping and browsing through magazines was a favorite pastime. She took pleasure in selecting the perfect gifts for special people in her life. She and Butch celebrated 50 years of wedded life on July 20, 2001, with their children and grandchildren. Much love was shared that day. Jeanette was preceded in death by her father, Edward and mother, Hannah of Beaver Crossing; sister, Mildred Hamilton, Maywood Calif; sister, Norma Carr, Beaver Crossing, and brother Berle Noler, Beaver Crossing. She is survived by her husband, Butch of Fairmont; sons and daughters-in-law, Randy and Jeanne; Jeff and Marilyn; Jamey and Joanna; brother Merle; and nine grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted from the Fairmont Community Church UMC Fairmont, on Jan. 9, 2003, with Pastor Betsy Galloway-Carew officiating. Nancy Jo Galusha accompanied Kris Bartholomew and Becky Gocke who sang "Just As I Am," "Precious Lord, Take My Hand," and the congregation sang "Blessed Assurance." Casket bearers were Heath Klassen, Scott Klassen, Nick Mayfield, Tom Boyer, Jerry Gangstad and Bobby Hoeft Jr. Honorary casket bearers were Justin Pankoke, Jessica Mayfield, Laura, Andrea and Jennifer Pankoke, and Todd and Candice Maruska.
