Eugene Beye will officiate. Born March 18, 1904 in Rock Island, Ill., Jeanette was one of three children born to Alfred and Hilma Spencer. She lived her early years in Rock Island. On Sept. 4, 1926 she married Ernest Elmer Jacobs, living in Chicago, Ill. Subsequently, they moved to Denver, Colo. and after a short time they moved to Creighton. On Sept. 4, 1926 she married Ernest Elmer Jacobs, living in Chicago, Ill. Subsequently, they moved to Denver, Colo. and after a short time they moved to Creighton. Mr. Jacobs became associated with his parents, who were operating Jacobs Bakery. Three children were born to this union: Gordon and Ernest, Jr. of San Diego, Calif. and Robert of Creighton. Mrs. Jacobs helped in the business and was active in community organizations. She was a member and past Worthy Matron of Creighton Chapter #100 Order of the Eastern Star, American Legion Auxiliary and a member of the Zion Lutheran Church. Following the death of her husband, she moved to San Diego in November, 1963 to live with her son, Ernest Jr. While living in San Diego, she was again active in community affairs. She was a member of Oneira Woman's Club, Normal Heights Senior Citizens Friendship Club, Salvation Army Association, American Legion Auxiliary Unit #74, a member of Normal Heights Methodist Church and WSCS. She underwent major surgery two years ago from which she never fully recovered. She died March 3. Survivors include her three sons, three grandchildren of Creighton and one sister, Mrs. Tom Hambly of Denver, Colo.
