Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 13, at Nativity Catholic Church, with the Rev. Mark Nemmers officiating. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery, Dyersville, Iowa. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory, 2595 Rockdale Road, where there will be a wake service at 4 p.m. She was born on Nov. 25, 1914, in Dyersville, Iowa, daughter of John H. and Johanna (Lueck) Eilers. She graduated from St. Francis Academy. She married Eugene Tauke on May 14, 1946, in the St. Francis Basilica; he preceded her in death on Nov. 16, 1963. Jeanette worked as switchboard operator for the Telephone Co. in Dyersville, and in the school cafeteria in Epworth, Iowa. After moving to Dubuque, she worked as a cashier and bookkeeper at the Roshek Department Store and at the Loras College switchboard until she retired in 1985. She was a member of the Court 350 Catholic Daughters of the Americas in Dyersville, Nativity Parish of Dubuque and Nativity Rosary Society. Jeanette enjoyed crocheting and traveling when she was able to. Surviving are sons, Paul (Connie Oliver), of Dubuque, and Glen, of Lancaster, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Bernard (Eunice) Hauber and Mrs. Walter (Ruth) Kramer, both of Dyersville, Iowa; and a brother-in-law, Vince McLees, of Cascade, Iowa. She also was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Reynold and Eugene; and two sisters, Edith McLees and Helen Laures.
