Description	:	Mrs. Jeanette Houston Beatty Thompson was born at Red Stone Furnace, North Union Town, Fayette County, Penn., April 4, 1838. She died at her home in Winnetoon, Nebr., Saturday, October 23, 1915, aged 77 years, 6 months and 19 days. At the age of nineteen, she moved with her parents to White Side county, Illinois. While residing there, she made the acquaintance of James Thompson. They were united in marriage in 1865. They made their home in Illinois until 1874, when they moved to Iowa, living there until the fall of 1887, then moving to Antelope county, Nebr. To this union seven... Read More	Mrs. Jeanette Houston Beatty Thompson was born at Red Stone Furnace, North Union Town, Fayette County, Penn., April 4, 1838. She died at her home in Winnetoon, Nebr., Saturday, October 23, 1915, aged 77 years, 6 months and 19 days. At the age of nineteen, she moved with her parents to White Side county, Illinois. While residing there, she made the acquaintance of James Thompson. They were united in marriage in 1865. They made their home in Illinois until 1874, when they moved to Iowa, living there until the fall of 1887, then moving to Antelope county, Nebr. To this union seven children were born, five sons and two daughters, four of whom are left to mourn the loss of a dear Christian mother. Surviving children are George L. Thompson and Miss Anna Thompson of Winnetoon, Nebr., Mr. B. Thompson of Omaha, Nebr. and Mrs. Hudson of Washington. She was loved and revered by her neighbors and friends, both at her old home at Millerboro and her new home in Winnetoon. She has been a great sufferer for some time, but always was cheerful and faithful. Taking her sorrow and trials always to her Savior in prayer. In 1869 she was converted and joined the Presbyterian church of which she was a faithful member, until a few years ago, when she moved to Winnetoon, where she transferred into the full membership of the M.E. church. Funeral services were held in the M.E. church in Winnetoon, Nebr., Monday at 10 o'clock a.m., conducted by Rev. G.A. Bolas. Interment was made in Millerboro cemetery by the side of her husband, who preceded her to that time beyond in 1908 and her son, Fred, who died June 1911. The pallbearers were Seth Jones, P.P.
