Description	:	Jeannine Ellen Ray, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and auntie, went peacefully to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 18, 2014, surrounded by her loving family. She was born July 5, 1935, in Waterville, WA to Marcus and Bernice Griggs. She attended Orondo Elementary School and went on to graduate from Wenatchee High School in 1953. After graduation, she worked with her parents on the family orchards in Orondo. She met Marvin Ray of Cashmere, WA and they were married December 28, 1967, in Cashmere. They made their home in Cashmere and she did the bookkeeping for their excavation business... Read More	Jeannine Ellen Ray, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and auntie, went peacefully to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 18, 2014, surrounded by her loving family. She was born July 5, 1935, in Waterville, WA to Marcus and Bernice Griggs. She attended Orondo Elementary School and went on to graduate from Wenatchee High School in 1953. After graduation, she worked with her parents on the family orchards in Orondo. She met Marvin Ray of Cashmere, WA and they were married December 28, 1967, in Cashmere. They made their home in Cashmere and she did the bookkeeping for their excavation business and orchard. They later moved to Orondo, where she continued working with her husband in their orchards. She loved her yard, her flowers and, especially, her blue house. She also enjoyed spending time with family. Her only grandchild gave her much joy and she looked forward to any time they spent together. She also loved the trips to Mexico with her family to visit her special friends who lived there. Spring was her favorite season and she always looked forward to the flowers blooming. Jeannine was preceded in death by her parents, Marcus and Bernice Griggs; her precious children, Jeffrey Scott and Marcella Bernice; and her sister, Lorraine Knemeyer. She is survived by her husband, Marvin Ray; daughter, Betsy Ray Irmer (Boyd) of Waterville, WA; granddaughter, Lexi Ann; her siblings; and many nieces and nephews. She was also looking forward to the upcoming birth of her grandson in February. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, November 22, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at the Orondo Community Church in Orondo, WA. Interment will follow at Orondo Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Orondo Community Church or the Orondo Cemetery.
