Mrs. Hitchcock joined the Methodist church very early in life. At the time of her passing she was the oldest member of the church in respect to years in the church. In those years many hours and weeks had she given to her church in loyal service and love. She was a member of the local organizations, Royal Neighbors and Mothers' club. The extended years of life brought to a close a well-rounded life of service to her family, church and community. Out of town relatives who attended the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Frank Fogleman of Sutherland, la., Mr. and Mrs. Earl Crippen, Aurelia, la., Mr. and Mrs. Lee Randall, Storm Lake, la., Mr. Gene Planalp, Sioux City, Iowa.
