Description	:	Jennie E. Riley, 95, of Ottumwa, died Jan. 16, 2012, at the Ottumwa Regional Health Center. She was born April 11, 1916, in Keokuk to Thomas and Paline Martsching Miller. Jennie was a lifetime resident of the Ottumwa area. Durng the war, she was an inspector at the ammunition plant. She was a caregiver at the Wapello County Home for several years. She worked at the Morrell Plant for more than 20 years until they closed, and she then returned to caregiving. She retired in 1980. In her retirement she led a very active lifestyle. ... Read More	Jennie E. Riley, 95, of Ottumwa, died Jan. 16, 2012, at the Ottumwa Regional Health Center. She was born April 11, 1916, in Keokuk to Thomas and Paline Martsching Miller. Jennie was a lifetime resident of the Ottumwa area. Durng the war, she was an inspector at the ammunition plant. She was a caregiver at the Wapello County Home for several years. She worked at the Morrell Plant for more than 20 years until they closed, and she then returned to caregiving. She retired in 1980. In her retirement she led a very active lifestyle. She enjoyed gardening, fishing, yard sales and gambling junkets with her friends. She also enjoyed weekly luncheons and raising her grandchildren. She is survived by seven grandchildren, Austin Myers, Robert(Melody)Riley, Jennie Sue(Kent)Taylor, Gordon(Mary)Riley, Ted(Denise)Riley, Tina(Rat)Jones and Michael Rhodes; 15 great-grandchildren; 37 great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by the love of her life, Gorden L."Jsck"Riley; her son, Windle; her parents; two sisters; a brother; one granddaughter; and one great-great-grandson. Funeral services will be Friday at the Shrine of Memories Funeral Home at noon. Burial will follow at the Memorial Lawn Cemetery. Visitatin will begin at noon Thursday at the Shrine of Memories Funeral Home with the family present from 7-9 pm Thursday evening. Memorials can be made to the family. Shrine of Memories Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
