Description	:	Jennie Van Der Weide, 89, of Sioux Center died Friday, Jan. 27, 1995 at Valley Manor in Rock Valley. Services were held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 1 at Netherlands Reformed Church in Sioux Center. Rev. John Den Hoed officiated. Burial was in Memory Gardens Cemetery, Sioux Center, under the direction of the Memorial Funeral Home. Jennie was born May 26, 1905 at Boyden, the daughter of William and Klastji (sic!) Kooiker. Mr. Van Der Weide died Dec. 10, 1982. She moved to Valley Manor in 1994. Mrs. Van Der Weide was a member of the Netherlands Reformed Church in Sioux Center. Survivors include five daughters and their husbands, Dorothy and Harold Vande Weerd of Hospers, Clara and George Scholten of Sioux Center, Geneva and Russell Wickers of Orange City, La Vonne and John Van Middendorp of Everson, Wash., and Audrey and Orville Pluim of Luverne, Minn.; four sons and their wives, Willie and Wilma of Bellflower, Calif., Arthur and Glenda of Wayland, Mich., Norman and Ada of Grand Rapids, Mich., and Dennis and Nancy of Boyden; 53 grandchildren; 94 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Mary, Helen and Gertrude; three brothers, Herman, Klaus and John and three grandchildren. Sioux County Capital 1995-02-02.
