It is recalled that he was about town the day previous, though those who know him best discovered that he did not look well. He is said to have had some dizzy spells, but nothing serious was thought of them. Tuesday morning, he and Mrs. Larsen arose as usual and ate their morning meal. Mrs. Larsen started to sweep the kitchen, but Mr. Larsen volunteered to do the work for her. As he took the broom, he sunk to the floor, and expired without saying a word. Mr. Larsen was born Nov. 19, 1840 in Denmark. On May 15, 1870, he married the lady who has been his life partner, and who now mourns the loss of her husband. The day following their marriage, they left for America on a life wedding tour, and settled on their homestead near Alsen, there they reared their family. With the approach of age, they moved to town, and have lived here ever since. Mr. Larsen was eighty years of age last Friday, and the event was celebrated by the gathering of the portion of the family at their home last Monday. He leaves to mourn his death his wife, Mrs. Larsen, and two sons, Robert, of Beresford, and P. Lewis, of Chester, this state. Mr. Larsen has been a well-known character in Beresford. By his extreme habits of saving, he has emassed a fine competence. It is recalled by those best acquainted with him that while known as very exacting in every detail of a transaction, he was just as prompt in seeing that all with whom he dealt were given the square deal. So far as known at this time, the funeral will be at the Baptist church in Dalesburg, Friday.
