Visitation will be 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 20, at Fry Funeral Home, Tipton. The family requests that you come dressed casual and in lieu of flowers. Jerald Lee Leighty was born November 13, 1946, in Tipton, the son of Roy Elwood and Genevieve Emma (Schwitzer) Leighty. He graduated from Tipton High School with the Class of 1965. He enlisted in the United States Army, where he served his country in Vietnam. He was employed with Intermodal for many years, until his retirement. His greatest love was his family. He is survived by one daughter, Cynthia Leighty; one grandson, Jaxson, both of Tipton; one sister, LaDonna Andresen of Temecula, CA; and one brother and sister-in-law, Russell and Mary Jo Leighty of Springdale. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Jeanette Williams, and one brother and sister-in-law, William and Kay Leighty. Fry Funeral Home
