Read More	Jeremiah Thurman Mishoe Horry Herald September 5, 1935 Jeremiah Thurman Mishoe The funeral of Jeremiah Thurman Mishoe took place last Thursday in the presence of a large concourse of relatives and friends. The exercises began at the home on Elm Street and ended at the grave in Lakeside cemetery. He died at his home on Wednesday August 28th, soon after returning from his court where he had heard several matters coming before him. On his arrival at home he complained of a severe headache, soon became unconscious and died after about two hours. His death was said to be due to a cerebral hemorrhage. Born in this county forty-seven years ago, he was the son of Hiram W. Mishoe and Mrs. Ellen Mishoe. As a boy he learned the work of a railroad agent which place his father filled for many years at Gurley coming to Conway in his early life he was employed as the agent of the railroad company at Conway and attended to its large shipping business as a cotton buyer and merchant operating a cotton ginnery for a number of years. During the time he served as a member of the town council of Conway and filled many minor positions of honor of trust. In 1932 he became a candidate for the House of Representatives from this county and was elected by a popular vote. He was serving the second year of his term in that body when he was appointed by the late Senator H. K. Cooke as magistrate at Conway. He was filling that position in a very efficient manner at the time of his death. He is survived by his wife who was Miss Dahlia Baggarly of Harmony, N. C., and three children, Mary Eloise, Joan Temple, and Phillip Mishoe; by three brothers Rochele Mishoe of Wilmington, N.C., Wells Mishoe of Castle Hayne, H. W. Mishoe of Gurley; by one sister Mrs. Mattie Williams of Albany, Ga., and also survived by his mother, Mrs. Ellen M. Mishoe. The funeral services were in charge of the Rev. M. M. Benson of the Conway Baptist Church.
