Jerry was born May 30, 1920, on the family farm near Uniontown, to Antone (Tony) and Mary Druffel Reisenauer. He grew up on the family farm and attended Oenning County School, Guardian Angel School for a couple years and graduated from Colton High School in 1938. He married Rita M. Weber June 13, 1946, at Uniontown. The couple farmed their entire lives in the Thorn Creek area just east of Uniontown. Rita passed away in 2001 and Jerry semi-retired as two of his boys took more responsibility on the farm in 2002. He was a member of the St. Boniface Catholic Church, parish council and the Knights of Columbus. Jerry taught the high school CCD class at St. Boniface School. He also served on the board of directors for the Uniontown Co-op and was on the community building committee. Jerry received a Latah County soil conservation award in 1967. He liked fishing, woodworking and doing carpentry, having built his own home. He is survived by his five children, Jim of Genesee, Dan of Wenatchee, Dorothy of Somersworth, N.H., Mary Jean of Clarkston, and John Genesee; 10 grandchildren; three sisters, Angela Wittman and Jan Kramer, both of Colton, and Virginia Miller of Oregon City, Ore. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by three children, Margarite, Gregory and Mary Louise Reisenauer; brother, Ray Reisenauer; and sister Rita Grassl.
