Swigart officiated. Burial was in Norwalk cemetery. Mr. Crane, formerly of Palmyra, passed away Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 in Still Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa. He had been in ill health for some time with a heart ailment. He was born in the Philadelphia Community on Sept. 17, 1901, a son of the Late George and Rose Wilson Crane. He was married to Doris Blackford in 1929, who survives. Survivors include his widow, two daughters, Mrs. Lola Jackman and Mrs. Delores Brown both of Des Moines, Iowa; three brothers, Howard L. Crane, of Palmyra, Leland and Russell of Philadelphia; two sisters, Mrs. Josie House of Palmyra and Mrs. Gertrude Crook of Monroe City; four grandsons and several nieces and nephews. Those attending the funeral from this area were Mr. and Mrs. L. T. Crook and Mrs. Josie House.
