Description	:	Jerry J. Fitch, 75, passed away January 14, 2014 at Taylor House Hospice in Des Moines. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 18, 2014 at Iles Dunn's Chapel, 2121 Grand Avenue, Des Moines, IA. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday, January 17 at the funeral home. Cremation will follow the service with private burial in Lorimor, Iowa at a later date. Jerry was born and raised in Lorimor, the son of Lyle and Mildred Lenore Fitch and lived in Robstown, Texas for 40 years. Jerry worked as a salesman. He was very outgoing, had a lot of friends and loved to have a good time. He spoke fondly of his childhood spent growing up in a small town. He is survived by his wife, Hilda; children, Robin Fitch of Des Moines, Richard (Anita) Fitch of Des Moines, and Rhonda Wasson of Creston, IA; stepchildren, Martin (Chris) Comeaux of Corpus Christi, TX, Christopher (Minerva) Sanchez of Kingsville, TX , Elroy Comeaux of Nashville, TN, and Amy (Scott) Comeaux Allen of Hartsville, SC; 12 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and siblings, Robert Fitch of Sarasota, CA, Carolyn (Mac) Simmerman of Magnolia, TX, Jim (Marilyn) Fitch of Fairfax, VA, Don Fitch of Osceola, IA, Tom (Mary) Fitch of Arizona, and Judy (Larry) Cook of Edmond, OK. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lyle and Mildred Fitch, and siblings, Edwin Fitch, Phyllis Quarles and Billy Bruce Fitch.
