Jesse Donner was born in Mitchell County on April 20, 1892, the son of Louis and Julia Richardson Donner. His marriage to Margaret Klaes took place on February 1, 1921, in New Haven, Iowa. They lived all of their married life in Osage. he was a painter and for many years worked for Mitchell County, retiring 20 years ago. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Surviving are his wife, Margaret; one son, Robert, of Osage; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one brother, Maurice Donner of St. Paul; and one sister, Ina May of Osage. Preceding him in death were his parents and a brother, Lloyd. An open house will be held in their honor at the Robert Donner home, 1332 State Street. Relatives, friends and neighbors may greet them from the hours of 2 and 4 o'clock in the afternoon. Hosting the event will be their son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Marie Donner of Osage and grandchildren. Jess Donner and Margaret Klaes were married February 1, 1921, at the New Haven Catholic Church. They have lived all their married life in Osage.
