He was a native and lifelong resident of Jacksonville, He was the son of the late Jess, Sr. and Mary Woods Wingate. He is also preceded in death by his grandson, Scotty Wayne Frasier, Jr. He was a retired Tug boat captain after many years of service. Jess loved fishing, hunting, camping and spending time with his family. He was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, friend and will be dearly missed by all. He was a native and lifelong resident of Jacksonville, He was the son of the late Jess, Sr. and Mary Woods Wingate. He is also preceded in death by his grandson, Scotty Wayne Frasier, Jr. He was a retired Tug boat captain after many years of service. Jess loved fishing, hunting, camping and spending time with his family. He was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, friend and will be dearly missed by all. Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Ona. Sons, Scott Frasier, Sr. (Vickie), and Matthew Wingate (Sheri); daughters, Sherri Lowdenslager, Tracy Rivera (Orlando) and Michelle Wingate (JB); brothers, Leo and Jody Wingate, Johnny and Lawrence Williams; sister, Doris Shirley; grandchildren, Heather, Chase, Brittney, Taylor, Dakota, Savannah, Jesse, Ashelynn, and Tristan. Great granddaughter, Kenzington Grace; and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday February 2, at 12 noon in the chapel of Cedar Bay Funeral Home, 405 New Berlin Road, Jacksonville, with Rev. Jim Matthews, and pastor Hartford Peeples officiating. Interment will follow in Anderson Cemetery. The family will receive friends starting at 11am on Tuesday at the funeral home.
