He was born March 10, 1924, in Stokes County to the late John & Lula Smith Martin. Mr. Martin was a retired farmer and was a Deacon for several years at Albion Missionary Baptist Church. Read More	ASBURY, NC ~ Jesse Graham Martin, age 84, of Rogers Road, Asbury, NC, died Sunday, November 2, 2008, at Forsyth Medical Center of Winston-Salem. He was born March 10, 1924, in Stokes County to the late John & Lula Smith Martin. Mr. Martin was a retired farmer and was a Deacon for several years at Albion Missionary Baptist Church. He was married to his wife Faye for 57 years. Survivors include his wife, Jewel Faye Jessup Martin, of the home; daughter & son-in-law, Sherry & husband Rex Foster of Pinnacle, NC; granddaughter, Jessilyn Faye Foster; sisters & brother-in-law: Doris M. Cooke of Mount Airy, NC, Ella Mae & husband Leon Cain of Mount Airy, NC; brothers & sister-in-law: Raymond Martin of Greensboro, NC, Billy & wife Rada Martin of Mount Airy, NC. In addition to his parents, Mr. Martin was preceded in death by sisters: Joy Anderson, Gladys Cole, and Frances Wright; and a brother, Alger Martin. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 5, 2008, at Howell-Nelson Funeral Chapel, of Pilot Mountain, NC, conducted by Rev. Odell Sisk with an interment to follow at Albion Missionary Baptist Church. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 12:00 p.m., until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Albion Missionary Baptist Church New Fellowship Building fund, c/o Bernie Chilton, 687 Woodville Road, Mount Airy, NC 27030. The family would like to give special thanks to all the relatives & friends for their help and support. They would also like to thank the Hospice staff & the staff at Forsyth Medical Center for all they did.
