He was born in a farm house just outside Lawn Hill, IA, in Hardin County, and attended Liberty School in Liberty Township, IA and graduated from Zearing High School, with the class of 1935. He and his wife lived two years at Lawn Hill, eight years at Steamboat Rock. In March 1952, they moved to a farm by Rhodes and farmed for 47 years raising cattle, hogs, horses, mules and coon dogs. He was born in a farm house just outside Lawn Hill, IA, in Hardin County, and attended Liberty School in Liberty Township, IA and graduated from Zearing High School, with the class of 1935. In 1975 Jesse was a part of the famous 40 Horse Hitch, owned by Dick Sparrow of Zearing, Iowa. They moved to Collins Feb 2, 1999, after their farm was purchased to build Harvester Golf Course. He was admitted to Rolling Green Village in Nevada Jan 30, 2002. He was a member of the Rhodes United Methodist Church, and he attended Collins United Methodist Church and Collins Christian Church. He was also a member of ACHA Coon Hunters Association.
