Description	:	Obituary taken from The Edna Sun, September 11 1958: Jessie James Biggs, 75, died in a Parsons Nursing home Friday evening, Sept. 5, 1958. He was 76. Mr. Biggs was born Sept. 1, 1883 in Vermillion County, Ill., the son of Mr. and Mrs. Alonzo Biggs. He was married to Nettie Reid on Oct. 15, 1902 in Illinois. She preceded him in death in 1931. In 1911, they came to the Edna vicinity. Mr. Biggs was a drayman. For the past several years he has been retired. Mr. Biggs was born Sept. 1, 1883 in Vermillion County, Ill., the son of Mr. and Mrs. Alonzo Biggs. He was married to Nettie Reid on Oct. 15, 1902 in Illinois. She preceded him in death in 1931. In 1911, they came to the Edna vicinity. Mr. Biggs was a drayman. For the past several years he has been retired. Survivors include two sons, Keller of Sacramento, Calif., and Dale of Pomona, Calif.; one daughter, Morine Ries of Ventura, Calif.; five grandchildren; two brotheers, Joe and Emmett, Danvillle, Ill.; one sister, Mrs. Nellie Lange, of Charleston, Ill. Three brothers and one sister preceded him in death. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Goodwin Funeral Home in Edna with Rev. Karl Hall officiating. Burial was in Lake Creek Cemetery. V. L. Sedoris sang "The End of a Perfect Day" and "Face to Face" accompanied by Mrs. Roscoe Baker at the piano. Pallbearers were M. A. Davis, Stephen Cornell, LeRoy Miller, Lewis McKnight, Aaron Lumm and Ralph Reid.
