He moved with his parents (William Henry Harrison and Lucinda Appleman Pierce) when but an infant to Bloomingdale, Wisc., where he grew to manhood. He was united in marriage to Marry E. Vanwey, January 19, 1875, and to this union ten children were born, 1 dying in infancy. Nine children are left to mourn his death... The children are: Harry of Holly, Colorado.. John of Elkader, Iowa...Lucinda of Wadena, Iowa..Mary of Montivedo, Minnesota, Emma, Floyd, Russell, Robert and Golda all of Arlington, Iowa. Floyd and Russell were at their father's bedside when he passed away. He also leaves 5 brothers and one sister all of Vernon Co., Wisconsin, and 20 grandchildren, also many friends and neighbors to mourn his departure. Funeral services were conducted at the Methodist Church in Arlington, Wednesday, January 19, 1921, at 1 p.m. by Rev. F. G. Young and the remains laid to rest in Taylorsville Cemetery.
