Description	:	Jessie Belle Adams Hudson, daughter of Lafayette and Arabelle Adams, was born northeast of Munden, Kan., on the Adams homestead on December 22, 1882. She passed away at her home in Munden October 13, 1954, at the age of 71 years, 9 months and 22 days. Her death followed an illness of several years which became intense in July of this year. Read More	Jessie Belle Adams Hudson, daughter of Lafayette and Arabelle Adams, was born northeast of Munden, Kan., on the Adams homestead on December 22, 1882. She passed away at her home in Munden October 13, 1954, at the age of 71 years, 9 months and 22 days. Her death followed an illness of several years which became intense in July of this year. Her early life was spent in Rose Creek where she attended school. On May 16, 1898, she was united in marriage to William T. Hudson of Narka. To them were born nine children, two dying in infancy. In 1919, the family moved to Munden and this has been their home since. In 1948 Mr. and Mrs. Hudson observed their golden wedding anniversary. Mrs. Hudson was converted and joined the United Brethren church (sic) at Rose Creek chapel (sic),later transferring her membership to the Narka Methodist church (sic) and then the Munden Methodist church (sic). She was a loving wife and mother, always thinking of the welfare of her family. She was always happy to be without to help of her children. She is survived by her husband of the home; four sons, William Fay, John Beryl, Max Wayne, and Roland Kay, all of Munden; three daughters, Wilma Hudson Fraser of Fairbury, Neb., Lorene Hudson Strnad of Hobbs, N.M., and Dorothy Hudson Clark of Munden; 19 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Lloyd Adams of Belleville and Morriel Glenn Adams of Kansas City, Mo.; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Three brothers, William Perry Adams of Belleville, Floyd and Almond and one sister, Clara, preceded her in death. Funeral services were held October 15 at the Methodist church (sic) in Munden, conducted by the Rev. J. Holland Vernon. Interment was in Ida cemetery (sic). He has borne her safely thru floods of woe, He has made her daily His care to know, And her faithful heart, in its humble trust, Feels all He does to be wise and just; For "He will Deliver," come grief and pain, And after the clouds send light again. The dear Lord ruleth her life each day, And now when cometh the twilight gray; He still will read with His tender eyes, So long as there's light in the western skies, To the end of the chapter: then His breast Will give to the ransomed soul its rest.
