Description	:	Mrs. Jessie Sterling Claimed By Death Mrs. Jessie D. Sterling, wife of Edward Sterling, died at the McCready Memorial Hospital Friday after a brief illness. She was 45 years of age. Her death came as a great shock to her many friends in the community as apparently she had been in her usual good health until a few days before her death. Read More	Mrs. Jessie Sterling Claimed By Death Mrs. Jessie D. Sterling, wife of Edward Sterling, died at the McCready Memorial Hospital Friday after a brief illness. She was 45 years of age. Her death came as a great shock to her many friends in the community as apparently she had been in her usual good health until a few days before her death. Mrs. Sterling was born in St. Mary's county, and came to Crisfield when only six years old. She was the daughter of the late John and May Green Purcell, of St. Mary's County. She was well liked and had a host of friends in Crisfield who mourn her passing. She was a member of Mount Pleasant M.P. Church and took an active interest in its affairs. In addition to her husband, she is survived by four children, Mrs. Jennette Rich, Miss Eutha Sterling, Roland and Beldon Sterling, all of Crisfield. Two sisters, Mrs. Sadie Daugherty, and Mrs. Anna Lowe, and one brother, Melvin Purcell, of Crisfield, also survive. Funeral services were held from Mt. Pleasant M. P. Church Sunday afternoon, conducted by the Rev. C.M. Elderdice, pastor, assisted by the Rev. J.R. Bicking, pastor of Immanuel M.E. Church. The funeral was one of the largest in attendance ever held in this city. Pall-bearers were Conway Daugherty, Jacob Sterling, Albert Rich, Vincent Bonomo, William Lowe, Isaac Tyler.
