She lived near Ong until 1923 when she moved with her family to a farm near Davenport and had resided in that vicinity until her death. She was married to William J Karnatz, August 3, 1918.... She was married to William J Karnatz, August 3, 1918. to this union were born four children, two sons and two daughters. She was a member of the Ong Rebekah Lodge for 23 years and had been secretary for four years. She was past Noble Grand of the lodge and vice-president of the alpha Kensington of Ong. She had been project leader of her neighborhood club. while living near Ong, Mrs Karnatz and her husband were regular attendants at the Methodist church (sic) at Ong. The children are members of the Davenport Methodist Sunday school (sic). She was a kind and loving mother and wife, devoted to her husband, children and home, one who made many friends and was loved by everyone who knew her, her kind and sunny disposition and her willingness to do for others. Her host of neighbors and friends will miss her as much as she will be missed in her home. She was preceded in death by her father who passed away September 14, 1941. She leaves to mourn her passing her husband, William, her children, Lovelle, Rhodabelle, Ruby and Ray; her mother, Mrs Maggie Cassell and six brothers and two sisters, J. W. Cassell of Edgar, Harry Cassell of Belvedere, Illinois, Leonard Cassell of Grand Island, Mrs. Gladys Starr of Edgar, Leland Cassell of Hartford, Washington, Arthur Cassell of Edgar, Wayne Cassell of Oakland, California and Mildred Johnson of Sutton, other relatives and a host of friends. Funeral services were held Sunday, April 4, 1943 at the home and at the Methodist church (sic) at Davenport with the Rev. S. W. Longacre of Edgar officiating. Scripture was read by Mrs. Margaret Berkey, pastor of the Davenport church (sic). A mixed quartette, composed of Floyd Row, Howard Hanson, Mrs. Herbert Voigt and Mrs. Schoenholz sang "Ivory Palaces" and "Goodnight and Goodmorning." A solo, "Crossing the Bar" was sung my Mrs. Herbert Voigt. Pallbearers were John Anderson, John Sharp, Wilbur Bowman, Vivian Jewell, Harold Grone and Jamie Row. Interment was made in the Edgar cemetery (sic).
