Pangle was born to Simpson and Nancy Margaret Ashcroft on February 26, 1896, at Lexington, Mo., and passed away on April 9, 1980 at the Fillmore County hospital at the age of 84 years, one month and three days. She was one of ten children in the family. Jessie moved with her family to Nebraska while a small girl and grew up in the Geneva area where she continued to live for the rest of her life. Pangle was born to Simpson and Nancy Margaret Ashcroft on February 26, 1896, at Lexington, Mo., and passed away on April 9, 1980 at the Fillmore County hospital at the age of 84 years, one month and three days. She was one of ten children in the family. Jessie moved with her family to Nebraska while a small girl and grew up in the Geneva area where she continued to live for the rest of her life. She was married to Roscoe Pangle on May 7, 1913. Jessie was a member of the Women’s Fellowship of the United Congregational church in Geneva. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roscoe in March of 1971, her parents and five brothers and four sisters. She is survived by nieces and nephews. Funeral services were conducted from the Farmer and Son funeral home in Geneva at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, April 12, 1980 with Rev. Jay Funk officiating. Musical selections were: “Precious Lord, Take My Hand” and “The Old Rugged Cross.” Pallbearers were John R. Bixby, Joseph Bixby, Earl Jacox, John Pittard, Norman Yates and Richard Wagner. Interment was in the Geneva public cemetery next to her husband Roscoe. The Nebraska Signal 17 April 1980 page 5.
