Description	:	Obituary Mrs. Jessie Louise Butler, wife of A.W. Butler, was born at Burlington, Vermont, July 15, 1858, died at Waubay SD, May 18, 1912. She moved with her parents to Fillmore County {MN} in 1866 and in 1872 they moved to Hesper, Iowa. It was there that she met and married to A.W. Butler in 1874 and in 1882 Mr. & Mrs. Butler moved to Watertown, South Dakota, later to a homestead at Dexter, where they resided until 1895 when they came to Waubay where they have since made their home. To Mr. & Mrs. Butler, ten children were born,... Read More	Obituary Mrs. Jessie Louise Butler, wife of A.W. Butler, was born at Burlington, Vermont, July 15, 1858, died at Waubay SD, May 18, 1912. She moved with her parents to Fillmore County {MN} in 1866 and in 1872 they moved to Hesper, Iowa. It was there that she met and married to A.W. Butler in 1874 and in 1882 Mr. & Mrs. Butler moved to Watertown, South Dakota, later to a homestead at Dexter, where they resided until 1895 when they came to Waubay where they have since made their home. To Mr. & Mrs. Butler, ten children were born, all are living except one, Mrs. Nora Smith who passed away in 1898. Of the other children, three sons, Ralph, Will & Frank reside at Ackley, Minnesota, Floyd at Wasta, SD, Clair at Waddington, California and Bert, Verne & two daughters, Ada & Nyna, reside in Waubay. Mr. & Mrs. Butler have known the trials of the early pioneers and have faced them with true courage. Their children have been reared to be good members of society, moral, honest & industrious, but the mother who has helped to guide them in the path of virtue is gone. She has joined the loved ones who went before her to the spirit land and we know husband and children will remember her with tender emotions and when the sun of life with them shall set, may meet in the realms of eternal bliss.
